Burnsville residents and business leaders, along with anyone interested in learning more about the future direction of Burnsville are invited to the annual State of the City Address. The event will be held on Thursday, February 16 at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center. The keynote speech given by Mayor Elizabeth Kautz starts at 11:30 a.m. and is open to the public. Registration is required for the luncheon following the speech.
The event is presented annually by the City of Burnsville and the Burnsville Chamber of Commerce. Advance registration for the luncheon is required and is available through the Chamber of Commerce website at burnsvillechamber.com.  Eight magical journeys take place against the dazzling backdrop of a cold, clear night under the Aurora Borealis in the mythical and remote town of Almost, Maine. Follow the residents and visitors of this small town as they fall in and out of love in unexpected, surprising and honest ways. “The people of Almost, Maine are honest and true. They are not cynical. They are smart. They wonder about things.” Love is discovered; hearts are broken and knees are bruised. But, the bruises heal and sometimes the hearts mend,—almost—,in this “delightful mid-winter night’s dream.”

"Tinh Anh Linh Chien" ("Music of Love for a Soldier") is a fundraiser for the Vn Culture House who supports children's organizations throughout Vietnam. The performance will be a time of music featuring songs about love and war. Emceed by Nam Loc, "Tinh Anh Linh Chien" will feature the performances of singers: Thien Kim, Nhu Quynh, Ngoc Huyen, Diem Lien, Quoc Khanh, Dan Nguyen, Dang the Luan, and Nguyen Khang.
